Welcome to my first-year review portfolio! My name is Cheryl Wilson and I am a first-year doctoral student in the Learning, Design, and Technology program. I am a Georgia native. I have a background in Information Technology and received a Master’s in Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT). My research interests include maker education, craft technology, and STEM inclusion. I am interested in the creation of learning experiences that focus on the engagement of youth, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, in STEM. One of the ways I plan to explore this is through computational crafting. With this portfolio, I present to you an overview of my research as a young scholar in the field of LDT.
